We covered numerous applications and procedures today. Yankee Clipper III, the premire clipboard manager; Sudoku, a freebie that lets you create, print and (try to) solve Sudoku puzzles. Five levels of difficulty, one being Lethal. That should tell you something and, DesktopOK, Save your desktop icon layout and when they get scrambled due to a change of screen resolution, DesktopOK will put them back where they were.
A super Windows Explorer shell that works in XP, Vista and Win7. A Text-to-Speech utility were domonstrated and other topics discussed today at the WINSIG. Some links to interesting sites included in the Jul file below, also.
Important info on how to download and use Microsoft's Safety Scanner. It cleans malware from your computer. It is only good for 10 days. This means you'll have to download it every time you need to run a scan if a week and a half has passed since the last scan.

Even with the self-inflicted glitches I was able to get through showing off some software. A tool to regulate the number of files with a given folder. A folder contents comparison tool. A site where you can down load vintage Hollywood films for FREE. Check out the August PDF.
Due to a number of regular attendees being out of town this session was cancelled. Next WINSIG is Oct. 22nd.

Notice - Due to various reasons the WINSIG session will no longer be held at 999 Wilder. In its place, and as time permits, we will use a portion of the regular meeting at the OVC to answer questions pertaining to the versions of WIndows and associated software still in use. More info will be in the Dec. issue of The TUG.
